Ve a buscar las llaves, están en la cocina.

¡Hola!

You may already know the meaning of the verb buscar as to look for.  But did you know that buscar can also mean to get?  It can mean to get something as well as to get or to pick up someone.

Example Sentences

Ve a buscar las llaves, están en la cocina.  (Go and get my keys, they’re in the kitchen.)

El taxí fue a buscarme al aeropuerto. (The taxi came to pick me up at the airport.)

¡Busca un médico rápido!

Learning this use of buscar has made things a lot clearer for me, and I hope it does the same for you as well.

¡Hasta aquí por entonces!

¡Qué tengaís un maravilloso sábado!
